Every believer starts from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And the resurrection is Christ’s victory over sin, death, disease, poverty and the world. Therefore the believer begins from the victory of Christ: with this consciousness, we approach life as victors.
Stand Your Grounds
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:14
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Do not give up on your victory in Christ no matter what. You have the victory, why would you exchange it for failure. When you give up, you are exchanging your victory for failure. When you quit you are exchanging your victory for failure. Stand your ground. You have the victory in Christ. In the above scriptures you will have to put on, take unto you and stand. Do not lose your ground. Everything Christ rose from the dead for is yours. Do not trade that for poverty. You, however, have to stand your ground to enjoy your inheritance. Do not allow your flesh, the devil or the world to stop you from enjoying your inheritance in Christ. There is nothing in the world more powerful than the Word and the Spirit of God in you.
The Place of Prayer in Standing Your Ground
Colossians 4:12
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Prayer is a veritable way of standing your ground and enjoying victory in Christ. Do you see how Epaphras laboured fervently for the believers to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God? For the believers to stand complete Epaphras had to pray.
Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:18 is connected with standing your ground in Ephesians 6: 11, 13 and 14. Paul is enjoining believers to pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. Prayer is critical in living out victory in Christ. If prayer is this important then watch the content of your prayers. You can be negatively oriented in prayer if the content of your prayer is not consistent with Christ. Go through all the prayers of Paul in his epistles and learn real New Testament prayer.
You are victorious so stand your grounds. Do not allow your flesh, the devil or the world to bully you.
